Just a short drive west of Coffs through farms and some great scenery is a little known area called Friday creek. If you know where to go there are some great safe swimming holes. Now considering how hot the weather was i ventured out here with Boyley to enjoy some tranquillity. At one spot there is a magic pool where you can slide down the rock face into a deep pool.
For the more adventurious there is a leap off a high bank that is about 15 foot high. You certainly dont need a 4wd to get here, but it is nice to be able to do it with ease. Nice to get away from the hordes of tourists that invade the north coast this time of year
